For day students, Cardiff Sixth Form college offers scholarship awards of up to 100% of the cost of tuition fees only, for students who can demonstrate that they meet the following eligibility requirements:

- 8A* in GCSE or equivalent examinations
- College entrance tests (paper-based)
- Online entrance tests

For international students, Cardiff Sixth Form College offers scholarship awards of up to 50% of the cost of tuition fees only, for students who can demonstrate that they meet the following eligibility requirements:
- 16-18 years-old
- 8A*/A+ in IGCSE or equivalent examinations
- Score of 6.5+ in Academic International English Language Test System (IELTS)
- College entrance tests (paper-based)
- Online entrance tests
- Skype interview
Application process
- Complete the application forms and email the scanned versions to admissions@ccoex.com, along with a copy of your passport and the most recent school report. You need to complete the regular College Application Form, and the Scholarship Application Form.
- Pay the registration fee and send us the payment transcript. Bank details can be found on the application form.
- Sit an online reasoning test.
- Sit admissions tests and have an interview with the College representative. This is arranged at a date and time convenient to you and can be conducted in person or via SKYPE. SCHOLARSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Up to 100% scholarships available for day students.
- The maximum award given to overseas applicants is 50% - covering tuition fees only. In rare circumstances, a higher award can be made but this is considered on an individual basis.
- To be considered for a scholarship, day students must obtain a minimum of 8 A* grades at GCSE (full courses) and be successful in an interview at the college.
- To be considered for 100% scholarship, day students must achieve straight A*s in all of their full course GCSE subjects.
- All exams must be sat in one sitting, regardless of the value of the scholarship.
- Overseas applicants will be judged individually, for up to 50% tuition fee scholarship, based on their national examination qualifications and their performance in entrance tests.
- Students are welcome to submit a portfolio of achievements for consideration.
- All awards relate to tuition fees only. The applicant is required to cover all boarding costs.
- Scholarship application will only be considered during the initial application process, before the offer has been made. We will not consider a scholarship application after this point.
- Factors such as school background will be taken into consideration. We will take account of whether a student from an independent school currently holds a scholarship award, but evidence will need to be provided.
- All awards are made at the discretion of the trustees, whose decision is considered to be final.
- Students must demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to their studies.
- Cardiff Sixth Form College reserves the right to withdraw an award at any time if a student demonstrates lack of commitment.
- Awards are only given for courses lasting a minimum of two years.
- In the event that no candidates of sufficient merit being recognised, awards will not be made.
- The range of subjects the student has studied will be taken into account.
- The awarding of scholarships would be dependent on the choices of subjects at A-Level.
- UK students: if the value of a scholarship is 50% or more, the acceptance deposit reverts to an acceptance fee and is therefore non-refundable.
- By accepting a scholarship award, the student accepts the terms and conditions of the scholarship contract.
- In exceptional circumstances, an award can be considered for a student who suffers sudden adverse family circumstances.
